We’re proud to report our progress with NV Homes: We Have Walls! 🙂
As you may know, our family is building a house with NV Homes and will be moving in a few months. In previous posts I talked about why we are moving, what design selections we chose, and tips on selecting a moving company. If you’d like to catch up on previous posts, you can find them here, here, and here.
It’s been a while since the last update, and things are moving along quickly. Moving day will be here before you know it!
So far, things have been pretty smooth, although we did have one hiccup…our fireplace was being put on the wrong side of the house! Our house is designed with the fireplace on the rear wall, but we received approval to move it to the side wall.
I’m guessing because they build so many of these homes, the framers were on auto-pilot and put the fireplace where they usually put it. As soon as we noticed this error, we contacted the Sales Rep and Project Manager and it was promptly corrected.
I’m glad my husband and I are able to visit the property often because we were told that if it wasn’t caught early enough, we wouldn’t have been able to correct it. (Even more reason for us to regularly check in on their progress!)
Here are some photos since the last update:
At our last visit the bricks were at the site, so we’ll get to see how that turns out soon!
We’re very excited you’re joining us on this journey and hope that these posts are helpful to anyone thinking about or going through the home-building process.
If you have any tips or suggestions for us while going through this process, feel free to let us know!
Until next time!
